WASHINGTON (February 13, 2024) –Tom Suozzi has won a special election to represent New York’s 3rd Congressional District, flipping a House seat from red to blue and giving New Yorkers another voice in Washington for strong environmental safeguards and climate action.
Kevin S. Curtis, executive director of the NRDC Action Fund, which endorsed Suozzi and helped turn out voters, issued the following statement:
“Tom Suozzi is a strong voice for clean air, clean water, and clean energy, and he’ll be a champion for New Yorkers who want a brighter future for their families. This victory puts us a step closer to taking back the House from the grip of fossil fuel lobbyists and their Republican allies, and we won’t give up until we do.”
