House Passes First Climate Bill in a Decade

WASHINGTON (May 2, 2019) – The House of Representatives today, in a bipartisan vote, passed H.R.9, the Climate Action Now Act.

The following is a statement from Kevin S. Curtis, executive director of the NRDC Action Fund:

“This vote is a response to the call for action from Americans across the country who are experiencing climate change now, and who want our political leaders to step up. Congratulations to Speaker Pelosi and the new pro-environment House majority for focusing on the future and the climate solutions we need. They are standing up for the most climate-impacted generation yet.”
