WASHINGTON (September 29, 2020) – During the first debate of the 2020 presidential election tonight, former Vice President Biden reinforced to voters why he is the candidate our nation needs to fight the climate crisis, protect our health, and rebuild our economy. While President Trump dug in on his long-standing denial of science and facts, Biden detailed his plans to grow green jobs and make America a leader in developing clean energy resources.

“Joe Biden offered us hope tonight, and there are good reasons to be hopeful about the fight against climate change. His plan to create millions of good-paying jobs and rebuild our country while tackling the climate crisis head-on is exactly the type of bold leadership we desperately need right now.
“Donald Trump keeps trying to convince us that we can’t do any of those things, and I bet most Americans are pretty tired of him letting us down.”
