NRDC Action Fund Congratulates Democrats on Senate Control

Washington (Nov. 12, 2022) – Voters have given Democrats a majority in the Senate in midterm elections, while the House outcome remains unclear.

Kevin S. Curtis, executive director of the NRDC Action Fund, issued the following statement:

“Leader Schumer and the Democratic caucus passed historic climate legislation this year and led a bipartisan effort to rescue our failing infrastructure, electrify transportation and fix lead-contaminated water pipes across the country. We are heartened that voters have validated that record of accomplishment by returning them to lead the Senate, and we look forward to continuing our work together to safeguard human health, build a clean energy economy, secure climate justice, and protect wildlife and wild places.”
