WASHINGTON (August 1, 2023) – Former President Donald Trump was indicted today by a federal grand jury for his actions leading to the January 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol by his supporters.
Kevin S. Curtis, executive director of the NRDC Action Fund, issued the following statement:
“The attack on January 6 was a shocking assault on our democracy. We applaud the efforts to hold the rioters, plotters, and co-conspirators responsible because preserving a functioning democracy is vital to protecting our health and environment.”
